Lukas had just gotten back from sneaking out, and he already missed his brother. He went into the common room with a book he took from Mathias' house, and sat down in a comfy chair in the corner to read. He needed to do something to get his mind off of those guys.
Then it occured to him that he probably shouldn't be reading Mathias' book if he wants to clear his mind. He threw it on the floor beside him and looked around. Nobody was in the common room, besides him. He figured he could get away with ust sitting there and thinking. Maybe he'll even manage to fall asleep! He adjusted his posture and tried to fill his head with 'happy' thoughts. Well, as happy as he could make them.

Lately Toris had found himself somewhat bored. The staff were still trying to get him to eat but were getting frustrated - he would only eat the tiniest amounts; enough to stay alive for another day/enough to count as eating, but he was hardly putting back on any weight. If anything, he seemed to be getting thinner. He'd spent a good bit of the day sleeping, his energy levels rather low.
He was coming back from the cafeteria, having choked down a round of medicine and vitamin supplements, as well as a tiny bit of food. Having nothing really to do, he entered the common room, his oversized sweatshirt looking like it was going to swallow him up. He settled on an unoccupied couch, wondering when he would stop feeling so tired. He noticed Lukas, but didn't say anything, not wanting to disturb the other while he seemed to be deep in thought.

Lukas noticed the skinny kid who floated into the room. Toris, right? He studied the man, not knowing if they should talk or not. He hadn't talked to this man before, and he slightly scared Lukas. Not that he would let that show. Lukas face palmed, his social anxiety was so bad, that he was scared of this kid? He looked innocent enough...
Lukas adjusted uncomfortably in his seat, grabbing his book so he would look somewhat busy, and not like a freak who sits and stares at people. He went over a million scenarios in his head about what he should say, or if he should even speak. Most of which were ridiculously boring or violent. Eventually, he broke down and thought to himself, 'if I'm going to get better, I have to be able to talk to strangers...'
He put the book back down and started shaking a little. Finally, he looked at Toris and spoke: "U-um, H-Hello. You're T-Toris, ja?"

Toris had been sitting with his head slightly bowed, looking down at his hands. He was shivering, feeling cold as usual. He was nervously fiddling with the ends of his sleeves - being around people made him rather unsure and skittish, but he needed to socialize...right? At least, that's what the staff had told him. Besides trying to shove food down his throat...
When he heard his name his head snapped up, almost having a deer-in-headlights expression on his face. "Y-yes," he managed to reply, his voice sounding rather squeaky with how anxious he was to be talking to someone else.

Lukas assumed Toris was nervous too, and that gave him mixed emotions. First, he wasn't the only one nervous. But second, he gave off a scary air? Lukas sighed, he'd better get this out of the way.
"Listen, we're both socially awkward, but we've better suck it up, ja?" Lukas shook further, he couldn't believe he said that to a stranger. Or was Toris an acquaintance now? He couldn't tell. All this conversation stuff is confusing.

Toris just nodded, biting at his bottom lip. He was still fiddling with his sleeves, the ends looking rather worn from how often he did this. It wasn't exactly that Lukas was scary; everyone was intimidating to Toris, in varying degrees. But Lukas seemed to be nervous as well and he really wasn't too sure what to think about that, or how to react properly.
Conversation was so difficult, he could never think properly when someone was trying to talk to him. People just frightened him too much.

"S-so, what'd you do to g-get in here?" Lukas said, wording it oddly. He said it like they were in jail, or detention...
It dawned on Lukas that Toris probably doesn't want to talk about that, and that this conversation was going terribly. This is exactly why he doesn't like talking to people. He always seemed to say the wrong thing, or other people are just assholes. Either one.

"I don't eat..." Toris replied quietly. "A-and I have some sort of panic thing...and PTSD..." He didn't mind really talking about why he was in this facility. He just wouldn't really talk about all the details...he wasn't totally ready to open up completely to someone. The staff here were still trying to get him to talk more about things, but he was very reluctant overall. "Wh-what are you here for?" He hoped he wasn't being rude in asking.

Lukas looked down nervously. "I-I have Avoidant Personality D-Disorder, a-and Self-Defeating Personality Disorder..."
Lukas, though he wasn't showing it, was quite proud of himself. He was able to converse with someone new without totally breaking down! He figured he should keep this going and see where it turned out.
"W-why don't you eat? If you don't mind me asking..."

Toris had never heard of either of those disorders before. But he didn't want to seem rude, so he didn't ask Lukas what exactly they meant. The Lithuanian teen was shivering, still feeling cold and his hands were still nervously picking at his sleeves. But he wasn't panicking yet or trying to avoid the other, which was a good thing.
"B-because I'll get fat...a-and ugly...." Toris mumbled, lowering his gaze back to his hands. "He told me not to eat...so I don't eat."

Lukas squinted a little, studying the boys body. Well, as much as he could. He didn't think this kid was in danger of getting fat... and who's this 'he'?
"I don't know how eating disorders work... B-but I'd say you're in no danger of getting fat. You'd have to eat 10 meals a day to put on weight the way I think you'd expect to, or something... 1 meal won't hurt is all i'm saying. And another thing... fat doesn't equal ugly..." Lukas said, slowly gaining confidence. He had no clue if what he was saying would help, or if it even sank in. He just wanted to practice this conversation crap.

"But He told me that I have to be thin..." Toris mumbled, hands fisting into his sleeves. "I don't like eating...it makes me feel horrible." He bit at his bottom lip, feeling a flash of panic. "Besides....if I eat then He'll hurt me...He'll find me and hurt me..." He started to shake a little bit at the thought of Him coming and giving out punishment for disobedience.

"You don't need to listen to what everyone says... S-someone shouldn't be able to control another person like that... You're safe here, ja?" Lukas couldn't think of anything else to say to Toris, He didn't feel like he could be helpful, but he felt the strange need to want to be helpful.
Then again, why would someone want to hear advice from someone who doesn't even treat themselves good?

"I hope so..." Toris murmured. But that man was the one who had put him here. So what would stop Him from coming and taking him back? Toris was too scared to say anything to any authority figure about Him, so what good would it do to tell about his past? "He...He is very controlling...it's so easy to break someone if you c-can find all their weaknesses..." Toris sighed and glanced over at the other male.

"T-then don't give him any weaknesses to exploit? I've never been in your situation, I-i've tried to stay away from people, so I don't know how any of this stuff works. But, standing your ground and trying to improve your faults is a good start, ja?"
Lukas stood and walked over to the other boy. "Maybe we both can learn a thing or two here. I-It might sound weird, coming from someone like me, but don't let your fears or weaknesses get the best of you."
Lukas was feeling pretty damn impressed with himself. He was bearly nervous anymore! What a revelation. He might even make a friend out of this, if he's lucky.
