Lukas jumped a little, not expecting Tino to be there. He let out the tiniest sigh, and looked at Tino.
"Y-Yeah. I'm over thinking things." He said, trying to maintain his normal expression, it didn't work out too well.
He was trying his hardest not to have a freak out in front of Tino. He didn't want to bother him with his problems, even though Tino was asking.
Finally, he whispers "I-I just miss people."

Lukas didn't look very well. Tino's mouth turned down at the corner. "I'm here," he pouted, hurt to be casually disregarded. Lukas wasn't really the type to respond to that kind of neediness, though.... well, maybe depending who was doing the needing. He crossed his arms, sulking, but asked, "do you want to talk about it? Who're you missing?"

Lukas' face got all hot, and his eyes narrowed. Honestly, he missed a certain Dane. He wasn't about to admit it though.
He dismissed his initial thought, and simply said "Brother...".
He hoped Tino would drop the subject then and there. Lukas didnt like talking about these types of things. He looked at Tino, hoping he would get the idea.

Lukas was blushing, and by his expression he was embarrassed. Tino cocked his head and stared for a minute. "You're embarrassed about missing your brother? Why? He's a good kid, not horrible or anything."

Lukas tried to wipe that embarassed expression off his face, but that only made things worse. He tried to look away from Tino, but it would be disrespectful not to look at the person you're talking to. At least, that's the conclusion Lukas came to.
"Not little brother... that idiot one. The annoying Anko."

"Ohhhh... " Tino nodded slowly. "Yes. I'd be embarrassed about missing him, too... wait! I mean... um." Why did he always say the wrong thing? Tino, shut your mouth.
Or not. "Were you guys dating or something?" Curiosity trumps sense and good manners. "Does he come visit you?" Maybe Tino could talk him into supplying some stuff. The Dane seemed agreeable enough, most of the time.

Lukas felt like dying inside. Why is Tino asking such questions?
"It's not like that." he simply stated.
He was feeling internally conflicted. That annoying Anko had days where he was, well, annoying. But there were days where he was the most agreeable and enjoyable person around. Lukas couldn't tell if it was because the Anko was acting differently, or because Lukas just viewed him differently on certain days. Lukas decided not to think about these things anymore. He doesn't want to bum himself out even more.
"And no, he doesn't come to visit. Though, it would be kinda handy if he did..."

"Oh." Tino considered that. "If you're not together... why would it be handy if he visited?" He thought some more. "You just, like, fuck or something? If you need to, we could share a bed... I wouldn't mind." Lukas wasn't really his type, but neither were any of the other people he'd met here, and he was getting... lonely.

Lukas felt like exploding. Did he just ask that? It seems Tino is getting the wrong message here...
"I d-didn't mean it like... t-that." Ok, that's a lie. Tino is one perceptive bastard. He must be psychic or something. It was at this point that Lukas was getting unusually nervous.
"a-and, share a bed? A-aren't the beds too small for t-that...?"

Lukas was sure acting strangely. Probably Tino was asking too many questions. Most people liked to talk about themselves and their problems, but there were exceptions. He'd forgotten how reserved this guy could be.
He turned his attention to the beds. They were pretty small, and... yes, bolted to the floor, so they couldn't scoot the two of them together. Not that small, though. "You're pretty thin, though. It would be crowded but I think we'll both fit." He eyed Lukas curiously, then pushed him down on the bed and squeezed in next to him. "Move over," he said. "You're next to the wall, you won't fall off."

Lukas reluctantly moved over. He couldn't help but felt like he was getting taken advantage of. He faced the wall, not wanting to have to look at Tino, out of embarrasment.
It could be worse... Thank god Tino wasn't the type to brag about this sort of thing.
Lukas started breathing slower, not wanting the other man to hear him breathing. It's stupid that he could get embarrased over something like that.

Tino spooned up behind Lukas, and draped an arm over his waist. The man felt more solid than he looked, still slight but not unpleasant to hold on to. His breathing was slowing, too. Maybe he'd be able to sleep now. Tino would; he always felt safer with someone covering him and he wouldn't miss this opportunity even though he'd already napped. He nosed through the back of Lukas's hair and kissed the nape of his neck. "Night, Lukas," he said, and closed his eyes.

Lukas went wide-eyed at Tino. Was this the work of loneliness created by the hospital? Or was Tino always hiding this...
Lukas decided not to think about his situation anymore. Soon, he'll wake up, Tino will be out somewhere, and they can just go on with their lives. Unless this becomes habit...
Lukas closed his eyes and finally got some sleep.

Tino slept better than he had in ages, feeling warm and safe, comforted by Lukas's presence. He hated sleeping alone and unprotected. He woke after only a couple of hours, refreshed and content. He propped himself up on one elbow, and leaned over Lukas to kiss his cheek and whisper, "thank you," in his ear, then rolled out of bed as lightly as he could. He tucked the other man in gently, not wanting to wake him.
It was late now, but he was hungry. He hoped there was something left to eat in the cafeteria, and left to go look.

Eventually, Lukas wakes up and notices Tinos gone. He goes on to wonder, 'how did I sleep so well with only half the available space?'
Lukas looks for his journal, writes a quick entry, then puts it back in it's place. He lies down, still feeling incredibly tired, and attempts to take up as much space as possible. He doesn't want to wake up to Tino in his bed again. It was admittedly awkward, at least he wasn't cold or anything...
Lukas closes his eyes, and soon falls asleep once again.
